Finally, the safest business/family van was awarded to the new Transit Custom.

Ford B-Max to compete with Meriva next year

Posted on by Matt Topham

Ford's competitor to the Vauxhall Meriva has officially been launched at the Geneva Motor Show.

The revolutionary design sees the removal of the B pillars (Ford would prefer to call it 'integrated B-Pillar construction') which allows a 1.5 metre opening on each side of the vehicle. Powered by the ultra-low-CO2 1.0l EcoBoost petrol engine with Ford Auto-Start-Stop, this vehicle will deliver outstanding fuel efficiency when it becomes available in 2012.
