Audi A6 Ultra - More power, less emissions and greater MPG.

Posted on by Matt Topham

Audi has announced the A6 Ultra which produces more power, emits less CO2 and achieves greater MPG.

The new A6 ultra models are powered by a highly efficient EU6 emission-standard four-cylinder 2.0 TDI 190PS engine, and are available with a choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed S tronic transmission which will arrive later in the year. The new engine directly replaces the outgoing 2.0 TDI 177PS unit in both Saloon and Avant models, and offers a drop in CO2 from 132g/km to 114g/km and a rise in combined MPG from 47.1 to 55.4 mpg.

Every car i've owned has been a hatchback. Presented with a choice of hatchback versus saloon i'm the type of person that would always choose a hatchback over a saloon. It's not about size either, i'd pick a Golf over a Passat and an A3 over an A4..... until today when i discovered that an A3 Saloon will be coming the the UK this autumn. Apparently the A3 saloon will be officially launched at the Shanghai motor how next month but below are pictures taken from an American photoshoot.

Audi has revealed the Vail concept car at the Geneva Motor Show. Based on the Q3 there are many websites including Autoblog that believe this is the first view of a new top-of-the-range Q3 for Europe.

According to Autoblog's article, underneath the bonnet is a 2.5-litre turbo petrol engine from the Audi RS3 and TT RS which has been de-tuned whilst still producing a rather nice 310bhp
