We make fleet taxation as easy as possible to understand for all our customers.
On each Ogilvie Fleet quotation is taxation data for both the company and the driver. There's no complicated calculation to remember, we do all the hard work, clearly displaying the figures on our quotations.
Lease Rental Restrictions
From 1st April 2018 vehicles with a CO2 emission level of 111 g/km or greater are comparatively more expensive than vehicles that emit 110g/km of CO2 per km or less. Lease Rental Restrictions, based on CO2 emissions replaced Lease Rental Disallowances in April 2009 as one of the government's 'green' initiatives, the threshold was then reviewed in the 2012 Budget. From April 2013 businesses could deduct the full cost of finance rentals from taxable profits if the car emits 130g/km of CO2 or less. From April 2018, this was reduced to 110g/km of CO2 or less. On cars with higher emissions, there is a flat rate disallowance (called the Lease Rental Restriction) of 15% of the finance rental. We display the Lease Rental Restrictions on our quotations, making life as simple as possible for you. For more information, visit our Tax Guide Pages.
AMAP Rates
If you have grey fleet drivers (those occasionally using their own vehicles for business use) the government produces Approved Mileage Allowance Payment rates which should be used to reimburse those drivers for business related journeys.
The current rates can be found on our Tax Guide Pages which we developed in association with Deloitte.
Advisory Fuel Rates
If your company provides drivers with a vehicle but not free fuel, the driver normally pays for all fuel used and then reclaims the cost of the business mileage traveled. The government produces Advisory Fuel Rates (AFR) which should be used to reimburse drivers for business miles traveled. Details on the current rates can be found on our Tax Guide Pages.
