Charity News

The directors and staff from Ogilvie Fleet are delighted to announce the four charities we will be supporting this Christmas, in lieu of our usual corporate gifts.

Each office has selected a local charity to make a donation to and help them to continue the critical work each of them does.

The four charities we have selected are:

Start Up Stirling
Start Up Stirling has been supporting local people in need since 1994. The project is focussed on relieving poverty, suffering and distress of people in crisis across Stirlingshire through food banks, helper packs including essential household items and financial support.

Shelter from the Storm
Shelter from the Storm’s Mission is to house and support the homeless in London whoever they are, wherever they come from. Our vision is of a society where charities like Shelter from the Storm are no longer necessary, through rehousing, employment & training and health & wellbeing.

The Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on improving access to care, research and campaigning. There are around 5,000 people with MND in the UK at any one time, for which there is no cure.

Cash for Kids Northern Ireland
Cash for Kids responds to the needs of children in communities throughout NI so they can live life to the full and realise their individual potential. Grants are given to children’s charities and organisations to help them undertake projects and new initiatives or to provide essential care and support.

Managing Director Gordon Stephen commented on the four organisations we are supporting:
“We have decided this year to support some local and national organisations and are extremely happy with the charities that our teams have chosen. They are all doing some fantastic work in a range of areas and we are more than happy to help them in the run up to Christmas. We normally send out corporate gifts to our clients, but we are sure they will agree this is a very worthwhile alternative this year.”

Members of staff from across the Ogilvie Group in Stirling also came together to donate food and other essential items to helps with Start-up Stirling’s Christmas appeal.
