Ogilvie Fleet’s place at the head of the fleet industry technology revolution has been further underlined with another top award.
The all-new Ogilvie Fleet App won the Innovation Honour in Mobile Communication in the 2016 awards from leading monthly trade publication Fleet World.
The winners across a wide range of categories for fleet industry suppliers, car and van manufacturers and fleet managers were revealed at the RAC Club, Pall Mall, London, today (Tuesday, April 19).
Launched late last year, the App provides access to Ogilvie’s 24-hour manned helplines. It includes the ability to: book a service, calculate company car tax, provides driving tips as the seasons change and accommodates location-based services including the Kwik-Fit tyre centre locator, electric vehicle charging point locator and car park locator.
Ogilvie Fleet, which has almost 14,000 leased cars and vans on its books and a further 1,600 on fleet management, is already working towards launching a major App update. It will include: Traffic reports; Buy-My-Car tool for Ogilvie drivers; Supermarket & coffee Shop locators; Motorway service station facilities locator; Tax data / tools and links to vehicle data for all drivers.
Importantly, the plan for the 2016 second quarter update launch is for the App to be freely available to all company car drivers as the benefits go well beyond just those for Ogilvie Fleet customers. The App will always have dedicated elements for Ogilvie’s client fleet managers/drivers, but by having it as a universally useful App, the business believes it is meeting the needs of all company car drivers.

That record was recently further enhanced with an unprecedented sixth consecutive Experteye Fleeteye CSI (customer satisfaction index) Award for vehicle leasing suppliers based on fleet operators’ responses to an extensive range of service-based questions asked on a monthly basis.
