One of Ogilvie’s longest serving members of staff is retiring this week, having been with the company for almost 50 years.

In January 1969, a 16-year-old Drew McCrindle joined Mogil Motors as a motor mechanic. Mogil Motors was a Ford dealership in Stirling, with the name derived from a combination of Millers (the garage’s previous name) and Ogilvie.

Drew became the Maintenance Controller of the Fleet Division of Ogilvie Management Services in 1998, which later become Ogilvie Fleet. Drew has since served in a number of maintenance roles up until his current position of Operations Maintenance Manager, responsible for the repair and maintenance of Ogilvie’s 15,000 vehicles.

Drew’s outstanding service has spanned six decades and helped to keep tens of thousands of Ogilvie vehicles on the road. All at Ogilvie would like to wish Drew a long and happy retirement, which he intends to spend with his wife Lesley, walking the dog, holidays, gardening and golf.
