On 1st April 2013 changes to lease rental restriction thresholds will mean that the right choice of vehicle becomes more important than ever for your fleet. Ogilvie Fleet are here to help you make those right choices and give you a simple guide to the imminent changes ahead.
• The Lease Rental Restriction threshold will reduce from 160g/km CO2 to 130g/km CO2.
Ogilvie Fleet has appointed Paul Griffiths as head of sales in Northern Ireland to further expand corporate sales in the province.
Mr Griffiths (42) has almost 14 years’ experience in the motor trade and more recently the fleet sector, and will take over from Jim Humphreys when he retires in November after three years in the role and many years in the leasing industry in Northern Ireland. During the next six months the duo will work in tandem to further build awareness of Ogilvie Fleet and its corporate sector offering by seeking to break into the public sector fleet arena and offer its recently launched car salary sacrifice solution.
Ogilvie Fleet have once again decided to support charities chosen by each of our local offices in lieu of the traditional corporate gifts. All four regions have chosen amazing charities that do life-changing work.
TinyLife is Northern Ireland’s premature baby charity and this year celebrates its 30th Anniversary as a small charity in NI. Formerly known as NIMBA, TinyLife provides practical and emotional support to the parents of premature and sick babies through our raft of Family Support Services.
The Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND.
As a registered charity, Keech provide free, specialist care for adults in Luton and south Bedfordshire, and children from Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes, who have life-limiting and terminal illnesses.
Ogilvie Fleet is celebrating becoming becoming only the second organisation in the vehicle leasing and fleet management sector to gain Investors in People Gold Standard.
Almost 11,500 organisations in the UK have achieved Investors in People accreditation, but only the very best go on to gain Gold status by meeting additional evidence requirements and thus achieving the most successful framework for business improvement through people in the country.
Investors in People data reveals that just 1,577 employers hold the Gold Standard and Ogilvie Fleet is one of just two in its sector thereby joining an exclusive group of UK organisations.
Our industry-wide reputation for customer service excellence and state-of-the-art IT solutions has been further recognised with it being named Innovative Company of the Year in the 2015 Business Eye Northern Ireland Fleet Industry Awards.
The awards, which are in their second year, were held as part of a major two-day Motor Show at the prestigious Titanic Belfast centre.
Our investment in Northern Ireland continues with a £2.5 million investment to double our workforce.
Jim Humphreys, who has worked in the leasing industry in Northern Ireland for many years, has been recruited as regional manager to lead the Ogilvie Fleet team in the province. The team has been further boosted by the employment of Jonny Crooks as area manager and Joyce McFaul as customer service team leader, who also both have significant leasing industry experience in Northern Ireland.
At Ogilvie we believe in supporting local organisations. That's why we've agreed to provide and sponsor 25 Vauxhall Corsas for two teams in the British Ice Hockey Elite League.
Nick Hardy, Sales and Marketing director of Ogilvie Fleet said: "Being a local company, employing Sheffield and Belfast people it is important that we support local organisations. By working together the success and profile of both Ogilvie Fleet and the Sheffield Steelers and Belfast Giants will, we hope, continue to increase.”
Like the Belfast Giants, Ogilvie Fleet have had a great 2017/18 season with taking 2 superb awards at the BusinessCar Awards late 2017 – the awards of ‘Leasing Company of the Year – Up to 25,000 vehicles’ and ‘Customer Service Award’ are big achievements for the entire team throughout GB and N.Ireland.
The Belfast Giants also brought home some fine silverware by winning the Challenge Cup in early 2018. Paul Griffiths, Head of Sales in N.Ireland commented “we have had great growth with existing and new clients in our local market as our contract hire model is unique and very beneficial to local fleets. We love having our client nights at the Belfast Giants, it’s a great event to take clients with their families and hear all the kids yelling ‘let’s Go Giants’, and very loudly”! “We are delighted with our own awards and even more pleased for the guys at the Giants, so much so we will continue our partnership into the 2017/18 season again”.
In December 2017 the Ogilvie Fleet team in Belfast decided to use their client gift fund for NI’s Cash4Kids Christmas appeal. The Cash4Kids charity raised over £23m in 2017 for 709,000 children around the UK. Enlighted with the story of the charity, the management at Ogilvie Group in Stirling decided to increase the donation to a very sizeable amount. The response from Darren at the Cash4Kids NI team showed how much the money was actually needed and sent a heart-warming response as below, you can find out more information about the charity at www.cashforkids.uk.com :
Hi Paul, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Please pass this on to everyone that made this donation possible.
Absolutely great news, we have very little older boys left as of right now! You can see below how low the level of this this older age group is compared to the others! We are trying to support 1,110 14-18 year old males still!!
